Happy Halloween!

For Halloween, Lincoln was Count Von Count from Sesame Street (the Dracula that loves to COUNT). We put numbers all over his cape and he LOVED it!

 Trick or Treating with COUSINS!
He had to eat the candy right after he got it. He didn't want to wait!
Then he got to chow down on some candy! He's never been so happy!

Linkers

Here's some pictures from the last couple months of Linkers...

He writes writes writes all day every day!
 Cereal pictures
Salt writing. (This was fun until I left him unsupervised and he threw salt all over the kitchen!)
 Writing his numbers
Magic pictures (paint over a white crayon drawing/writing).
Tape ABC's on the carpet. This is one of Linc's FAVORITE activities!
He decided to transfer the letters to the wall!
 Candy corn color matching.
 Halloween fishing.
 Food coloring the snow!
 First snowfall! Two thumbs up!

He always has colored hands from the markers he writes with!

Daddy took Link to the ZOO!
 Writing on pumpkins.
Here's some of Linc's writings from today. I swear I didn't help him at all! What a 2-year old!

To the Rescue

I just finished the Biography of Thomas S Monson, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What a phenomenal man! What a wonderful example he is to me of following the promptings of the spirit. Throughout his entire life he has reached out to the one. His biography has stirred in me a resolution to try harder to reach out to and remember individuals. There have been so many "coincidences" in his life that teach of the Lord's hand in all of our lives if we follow his commandments and the promptings of the spirit. His life also teaches that the Lord answers the prayers of His children through other people... us, you and me. I truly am so grateful for a true and living Prophet of God on the earth to guide and direct us. I am so excited to listen to him next month in General Conference.

Goodbye Summer!

I can't believe how fast this summer has come and gone! We have had such a fun summer but are looking forward to the Fall. I LOVE Autumn time! Just this week it's gotten a little cooler and the trees are starting to change. Here is a little bit more of what Link has been up to lately...

My Uncle J came to visit from California so we hung out with him for the day!

Link just being a GOOF!

Water painting (with secret messages).
We went out to Russ' parent's home and canned with my Mother-in-Law. Link loved being able to spend time with his grandparents!
He had to show grandma that he can write all his letters and numbers!
He LOVES practicing his letters and numbers so we usually go outside and chalk... and our back porch always looks like this! Crazy kid!
Like I said... he loves to write! Here he is typing his ABC's...

I got a morning off from tending the bud and got to go to a baby shower for my good friend K! Here I am with host T sportin' our staches!

Baking with mama!

And taking it easy!

Link's Big Appointment

Link had a big appointment at Primary's this week. He had a sedated Echo so that they could get a good look at his heart. It was a long day but our cardiologist was very optimistic. She said it's not looking like he will need the Fontan Surgery (usually the third surgery that is needed after the first two Link has had). She said if nothing changes we can keep him at a 1 1/2 ventricle heart- where he is right now- and he is doing great with it! When he does have surgery (every 4 or 5 years) it will be to replace the synthetic valve. We were really happy about the results and so thankful for everyone who is praying for this little guy!

Daddy and Link walking into Primary's.

Daddy entertaining Link as we waited by writing numbers all over the paper.

The Echo.

On his way to Recovery.

Trying to wake up from sedation. He used all his strength to get out his first word in Recovery... "ten" (because that was the recovery section we were in and he saw it on the wall). What a nerd!

Still trying to wake up. It took him a while. He was nauseous and threw up a couple times but a few hours later he was back to his mischievous self!

Russ and Lincoln have been practicing their Olympic Skills so here they are doing Hospital Olympics while we were waiting!

Summer Fun!

Link and I have been up to all sorts of things this summer! Here's some pics of just a few...

Licorice letters/numbers.

Shaving Cream bathtub paint!

Bear Lake Cabin with COUSINS!

Swimming with Chels & her girls.

Uppercase/Lowercase Letter matching on spoons.

Riding Horses for the Fourth of July!

Lots and lots of parks!

Snowcones with grandma!

Excavating for toys from ice (and he learned 'thumbs up').

Celebrating my birthday (don't mind that I had already eaten half of my raspberry bread pudding! Maybe that's why Link is pulling that face!)

Sportin' the shades!

Slime, letters, and chalking (he always makes me write out the numbers 1-100 but only after he tells them to me.)

Pudding paint (we did this before shaving cream paint so he thought the shaving cream paint was also edible. Oops!)

Cousin time! We stood on the overpass and waved at the cars passing by. All those kids got so many people to wave and honk. It was incredible!
